The Hunting of the Snark: for Graham

Graham Little had a great set-piece after dinner speech paralleling Lewis Carroll’s wonderful poem and the development of curriculum.

They sought it with thimbles, they sought it with care;
They pursued it with forks and hope;
They threatened its life with a railway-share;
They charmed it with smiles and soap.

Those who heard it, especially after a wine or two, will never forget it!
